Last Friday the 7th grade AVID class had a class meeting outside. We conduct "serious business" as you can see. Students enjoyed freezer pops while discussing our end of the year celebration. It was a beautiful day and we all had great fun.

A couple of weeks ago we all gathered for an evening to celebrate the AVID students accomplishments in their College Fair project and learn more about the AVID tutorial. We had a great time visiting with the AVID families. Here are a few photos of the evening.

College Fair
A couple of weeks ago our students finished their College Fair Presentations. They were divided into groups. Each group was given either a public or private college in Oregon to study. Students spent over a month working on this project and then became representatives of their respective colleges. Teachers, students, and parents were invited to come and see what students produced and ask their own questions about the colleges. The kids had a lot of fun and learned a lot about the process of going to a college and why one might select a particular college. Enjoy the photos!
